  • Anne writing.Thank you for this reminder of the sacrificial love of the Great I Am and the greatest victory of the Christian faith due to his son Jesus that we celebrate this weekend. Going back to the roots of my faith the Old Testament is a favorite place for me, possibly due to the fact that my grandfather was Jewish. When Passover celebrations begin the same day as Good Friday as they did this year I love to think about the connection between the two amazing examples of the love of God for his people. For those unaware of this connection let me explain.how I make this connection.

Passover is an 8 day celebration of the hope and endurance that sees the overcoming of insurmountable situations such as the Israelites faced as slaves in Egypt. The miraculous opening up of the Red Sea saw their escape from Egypt and forty years later taking the Promised Land.
