The drug bust that took place on Wednesday was not some simple street level dealer: this was a serious collection of drugs and a lot of cash.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) Burlington Street Crime Unit completed a lengthy drug investigation with a pair of arrests and a large drug seizure.
On Wednesday January 6, 2021, investigators executed residential search warrants at two residences (one in Burlington and one in Kitchener).
As a result of the investigation the following drugs were seized:
12.3 grams of cocaine
562 oxycodone pills
5.6 grams of methamphetamine
52 Vivan pills (Amphetamine Derivative)
4 LSD tab
11.1 grams psilocybin
343 grams cannabis
In addition to the drugs, police also seized approximately $23,000 in Canadian currency.
Patrick Jones (46) of Burlington has been charged with:
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Psilocybin
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Amphetamine Derivatives
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – LSD
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Distribution
Malgorzata Zoravkovic (39) of Kitchener has been charged with:
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Psilocybin
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Oxycodone
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Amphetamine Derivatives
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – LSD
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Distribution
Both accused have been released pending a court appearance.
