This example is especially clumsy. Yet I am worried that people not proficient in English could be fooled.

  • We were scammed for the first time in our lives about a month ago although there have been many tries. We had no control and do not know how they did it as we never use our credit card in a machine just for on-line purchases. Saw an Uber charge for $250 – we have never used Uber. Checking it out found our account closed down and five more charges to Uber for around same price. Sad isn’t it we are always on the alert and if an online purchase rings an alarm bell we simply do without. We were fortunate VISA did reimburse us.

A big give away is the illiteracy.
