hehe … of course they do. “let’s have a consultant, a survey, some additional time wasting meetings and discussions” …… that’s what this group does …. there’ll be NO decisions or answers …. just another fabricated photo op to show how invested they all are.
It’s time to end the city’s involvement with the SOM festival. If it really has value, private investors or sponsors will step up and run it properly. The city’s track record speaks for itself — from the swimming pool fiasco to the tax report full of errors, and a council that seems more focused on appearance than accountability. Every time the city tries to manage an event, it turns into another costly exercise in mismanagement. A privately run SOM festival would bring professionalism, financial responsibility, and a clear goal — to succeed without costing taxpayers another dime. Let business take over and show whether it deserves a future.
