BURLINGTON, ON

When you hear the sounds of music that comes out of Africa – you find yourself moving your feet.

There is a lot of skill in coaching a sound out of these steel pans.

When the sound of a West Indian Steel drum – your body moves and sways.

The music is electric.

There is much more to the Black community – the food, their temperament, and their history.

We white people have much to be ashamed about when it comes the the life that Black people have had to live.

The Burlington Public Library will have a number of projects that can teach more about what took place, what we did, and how we are working towards a better society that includes the Black population at every level.

Look forward to the events the Library plans.
