M Is for the Many things she gave me,
O Means only that she’s growing Old.
T Is for the Tears she shed to save me,
H Is for her Heart of purest gold.
E Is for her Eyes with love light shining,
R Means Right and Right she’ll always be.

Put them all together, They spell MOTHER.
A word that means the world to me.

The original lyrics were written in 1915 and the song is titled Mother:

Anne’s mam, paaed 2006, sang this song every day of her life that we knew her. We can still hear her singing it along with all the old Vera Lynn and Irish songs her mother used to sing. She can never be forgotten, Anne’s brother’s favorite memory is her cleaning the outside of her bedroom windows hanging out the window singing Skinny Lizzie the Harem Queen. RIP mam and all those mothers who left us with such wonderful memories that never ever fade.
