When you have to go - you have to go. Burlington doesn't make it easy

BURLINGTON, ON

With hundreds of people downtown for the Santa Claus parade, doors to city hall were locked – access to the washroom in a public building. Nope

Santa Claus went off very well

Photos on that to follow.

What didn’t work out all that well was the doors to City Hall – they were locked.  People who needed to use a washroom had to find a restaurant with washrooms they could use.

For reasons that have never been clear, Burlington doesn’t seem to be able to understand that – when you have to go, you have to go.

The reason City Hall was closed is because they didn’t want to have to pay for extra staff. On a Sunday it would probably have been time and a half.

At the very least they should have had portable toilets along the route.

If it wasn’t for Ann Marsden delegating the washrooms at Discovery Landing would be closed on statutory holidays.

No money to have washrooms at City Hall open today, but plenty of money for yellow park benches and other non-essential things.
