Animal control keeping an eye on the coyote who seems to be in distress

BURLINGTON, ON

That coyote who appears to have made a location at Central Park home for itself, has drawn the attention of the Animal Control people.

They were on location and appear to have had police with them.

The animal tends to stand 20 to 25 feet away just looking at people.  When it moves there is a limp.  Its hide has patched where the fur no longer grows.

Clearly very unhealthy.

Looking for a report from Animal Control on what action they have taken

Get the shotgun ready to take the Mayor happy or is that “take” over now that she won the election

It could be live trapped and taken care of. A lot of work to do properly. Where to keep it, minimize stress, and then, where to release it? Very sad, but to borrow from Star Trek, they might follow the Prime Directive. of non-involvement.
Or speed up the inevitable, for mercy’s sake. A politician making this call cannot win. But I suspect the idea has well been considered on a daily basis.

This one, is only the one we see. (Cute critter though I must say.)
