BURLINGTON, ON

There are some things that were meant to be shared.

This came to us from Anne Marsden, who is an yet to be nominated for the Office of Mayor.

She want to delegate at Council in person tomorrow and is waiting for a response from the City Clerk.

Anne and Dave Marsden

Mr. Arjoon, a very pleasant clerk who I have never met or talked to before told me I would receive a confirmation of my inhouse delegation tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. at around 11:30 a.m. today. I have never been so excited about something in a long time.

H said first she would be checking it to see if there were any questions. Have not received confirmation yet at 4:30 p.m. Wondering if it is the old excuse of you put two dd’s in our email address which you promised to correct years ago now. In case you did please confirm to anneandave@gmail.com that the Marsdens are delegating inhouse tomorrow at 9:30 am and let us know how we get into city hall with Anne’s mobility scooter as we understand there is construction underway. Thank you for a prompt reply before 6:00 pm if possible as we don’t want to prepare for a delegation we do not have.

Anne, perhaps the City was hoping you went to bed early and got up late.

    Hope all goes well.

    • Penny it got sorted at around 7:30 this morning when Hayley apologized and sent me the “conformation” she sent yesterday. So looks like Kevin did not correct the email address he promised he would two years ago. Hayley who seems like a very sweet person, also advised I received your PowerPoint slides already. When we told her no material as not preparing anything until we get a “confirmation” as turned down too often in the past. Did get invited to the lectern and believe it went well but did get choked up “all that excitement” I guess at what looks like perhaps the beginning of normalcy. Not quite sure. Did get to speak to Shawna and I was very happy about that. Anyway it was a good subject to start our lectern warm up after so long away from it and hope got through to them “no more using reserve funds for such items as wave breaks”!

  • Confirmaton came at 22:16 back to the lectern warm up tomorrow!

  • Actually it was not Kevin Arjoon we talked to it was a very pleasant young lady called Haley who had to check it out with the Clerk. However the issue is the same. Is it just tbe Marsdens this happens to? And is there still construction and if so how do we get to the Chambers from outside. Anne is still very excited believing this to be a return to tne new normalcy! Still not received confirmation.

Could be just a Marsdens thing.
I had no problem getting on the delegates list.
Submitted request electronically at 10:19. Received confirmation via email at 10:29.
