The agency says the annual inflation rate was 2.3 per cent in the month, down from 2.6 per cent in February.

StatCan says a drop in the price of gas helped ease prices for motorists in March.

Reader Note: Gas prices dropped, due to removing the Carbon Tax, followed by a reduction in the inflation rate. Its called Cause and Effect. Why did the Carney Liberal government AXE the TAX? To not lose the election, also cause and effect.

And the drop in price of gasoline, diesel and natural gas will translate to lower costs in food and other areas of manufacturing that will eventually work their way into the economy and into data from Stats Canada. Of course this is basic market competition, supply and demand economics and basic math. However, the Lieberals will try to convince you otherwise.

And remember all those years when the Liberals told Canadians that the carbon tax was a non-factor in inflation?
