BURLINGTON, ON
It sort of crept up on us.
There was the sense that the pandemic was over and the virus had been tamed and life would get back to normal.
Normal is going to be our having to be constantly vigilant.
The data from the Regional Medical Officer of Health (MOH) tells the story. And these are the reported cases. That line on the right of the bar graph is where we are.
If you want to check the data from time to time here is a link:
Covid is nothing but a runny nose, sore throat and feeling tired for a few days – for most people. We have some excellent vaccines to thank for that. Time to move on.
Years ago, the phrase “an inconvenient truth” was all the rage … then people managed to accept things as normal. Same is happening here.
Who knew that stopping masking indoors, stopping reliable PCR testing, limiting booster shots and our so-called leaders ignoring COVID and ensuring we don’t properly track and release the data would cause more cases and deaths especially to those who are vulnerable. Well, the scientists knew and so did those of us who follow them rather than the politicians for medical advice and news.
Closing your eyes and plugging your ears doesn’t make it magically disappear. I’m sure there are a lot of people out there spreading it around unmasked, with no clue, and many without a care either.
When did science become a bad thing?
