BURLINGTON, ON
Elgin Street between Brant Street and Locust Street will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a United Way road hockey tournament on September 12.
Queen’s Head and parking lots at SIMS Square and City Hall will remain accessible.

People will be able to get into the Queen’s Head for a cool one during the street hockey tournament.
Ensuring that the Queens’ Head is accessible was a smart move.
In the past city hall has come out big time for the United Way. There was a year when the Clerk’s Office participation was superb – the Planning department had two teams involved.
That year the focus was on a truck tow.
Let’s see how they do with street hockey.

Clerks give everyone that funny look all the time – and take best costume prize during the 2011 United Way fund raising event.
Will the Mayor field a team?
