Freeman Station has become an encampment site.

BURLINGTON, ON

So it has come to this.

A former member of Friends of Freeman Station sent this along to some of his colleagues. The photo is of the back of the station with the following text:

“Nice to see the city is taking good care of the Station and providing solutions for the housing crisis. You can see the tent. Washroom is just down the stairs to the left.”

This is totally unacceptable.

Is this a city solution to the housing crisis or is it total negligence on the part of the city?

City hall took charge of the station a number of years ago.

Unbelievable that this beautiful historic station is so neglected by the city yet there is talk of a constructing a 50 metre “regional” competitive pool.

The capital cost of a such a facility could be in the range of $35 to $150 million.

Perhaps it should be built on the property of the white elephant that is Robert Bateman.

The incompetence, recklessness and disdain for property taxpayers is palpable.

    Vote them all out.

If this is not addressed ASAP, the Mayor and every councilor needs to be voted out.

Next, get rid of the scammers begging for money at intersections! How the heck this has been allowed is beyond belief.

It is time for “someone” at City Hall to move this encampment away from this location.
Not next week ……… TOMORROW !
Negligence on the part of the City …….. no question!
