Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga-Dufferin announces appointment of three new Board Directors

Three accomplished leaders bring extensive expertise in commercial real estate, affordable housing finance, technology innovation, governance, strategic planning, and business transformation, strengthening Habitat for Humanity HMD’s ability to advance affordable homeownership opportunities throughout Halton, Mississauga, and Dufferin.

Scott Caverley is Head of Commercial Real Estate at The Effort Trust.

Scott Caverley is Head of Commercial Real Estate at The Effort Trust Company and a commercial real estate executive with more than 25 years of experience leading large-scale asset management, development, leasing, and investment portfolios across Canada. He holds an MBA from Ivey Business School and a Chartered Director (C.Dir.) designation from McMaster University.

Geet Chandratre is Vice President, Digital, AI & Automation at Canada Life.

Geet Chandratre is Vice President, Digital, AI & Automation at Canada Life. A seasoned technology and business leader, he has held leadership roles across consulting, financial services, insurance, and technology, including serving as an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company. Geet brings deep expertise in digital transformation, innovation, and operational excellence, along with a passion for community impact and nonprofit leadership.

Jeff Killip, CFA, is an accomplished real estate finance executive.

Jeff Killip, CFA, is an accomplished real estate finance executive with extensive expertise in commercial real estate lending, affordable housing financing, and capital markets. He has played a key role in advancing housing initiatives across Canada, including contributing to the development and implementation of CMHC’s MLI Select program, which supports the creation of affordable housing nationwide.

Since 1999, Habitat HMD has brought together families, volunteers, donors, developers, and community leaders to create safe, affordable homes and a pathway to homeownership. What began as a grassroots volunteer initiative in Burlington has grown to serve communities across the Region of Halton, the City of Mississauga, and Dufferin County. To date, Habitat HMD has opened the doors to 100 homes for local families and Indigenous communities, provided skilled construction training to more than 2,400 youth, and currently supports 161 people living in 56 housing units across the region.
