Halton and Hamilton United Way-supported programs and initiatives helped 251,253 individuals and families, working alongside 73 local agencies delivering 113 programs

United Way Golden Horseshoe  released its inaugural 2025–2026 Impact Report, showcasing the collective impact of communities coming together across Brant, Haldimand-Norfolk, Halton, Hamilton, and
Niagara to support people facing some of life’s most complex challenges.

The report highlights a remarkable year of community investment and collaboration, with United Way-supported programs helping more than 440,000 individuals and families across the Golden Horseshoe through a network of 148
agencies delivering 235 programs and projects. Together, donors, volunteers, workplaces, community partners, and local leaders helped strengthen access to food, housing, mental health supports, youth programs, newcomer services, and other critical resources that people rely on every day.

Within Halton and Hamilton, United Way-supported programs and initiatives helped 251,253 individuals and families, working alongside 73 local agencies delivering 113 programs and projects focused on strengthening community
wellbeing and helping people access the supports they need.

“This report is a powerful reminder of what can happen when people come together to support one another,” said Brad Park, President & CEO of United Way Golden Horseshoe. “Across our region, donors, volunteers, workplaces, community partners, and agencies are helping ensure people have access to the supports they need to navigate challenges, build stability, and create brighter futures. I’m incredibly proud of the compassion, generosity, and commitment that communities across the Golden Horseshoe continue to demonstrate every day.”

The report marks an important milestone as the first Impact Report released under the United Way Golden Horseshoe banner. It reflects the collective strength of communities across the region and highlights how local support continues to create meaningful change in the lives of individuals and families.

Across Halton and Hamilton, community partners are responding to increasing demand for services driven by rising costs of living, housing pressures, food insecurity, and growing mental health needs. United Way’s network of support continues to help ensure local residents can access essential programs and services close to home
