On October 29th, 2024 Marsden reminded the city that she had received an answer, asking:.
Can we receive notification of when our concern regarding public washrooms closed at Spencer Smith will receive a response? We were expecting a response before the Mayor got back from Japan, especially given the public interest in the impact of these public washrooms that are accessible to all are in a building where the public has access on a daily basis were closed to public on a great day for enjoying the facilities at Spencer Smith Park on Thanksgiving Monday.
We understand no one at City Hall including themWard 2 Councillor, the Mayor and Parks and Rec Dept want to deal with it but the public deserves an explanation and assurance these washrooms will not be unnecessarily closed to public again.

what is she expecting? them to retroactively open them? If I got an email from the Marsdens I wouldn’t have replied either. I think their quota of gripes was used up in January already.
Bob, This is not our gripe, it is a community gripe. Don’t you pay attention to what other commentators have said. This is not a place for nasty worded attacks on those you do not like for some reason or another. This is a very serious issue you are trying to belittle.
45 mins debate back in 2021 so obviously they know how important it is to everyone’s quality of life. If Penny Hersh is right and it is because they won’t pay s staff person time and a half but are proposing to spend over 10 million to redo Civic Square which is the access to these City Hall washrooms there is something drastically wrong with their decision making which is not resident and visitor best interests or quality of life orientated.
