Karina Gould will be making an in-person announcement on Sunday, January 19th in Burlington.
11:00 am is the event start time.
She will be accompanied by friends, family, and supporters, and will stay to take questions from the media.
Gould will make remarks at 11:00 am and then take questions from reporters.
There will be 20 minutes for questions, one question + follow up per reporter.
No word on where the event will take place – security is going to be tight for every public announcement.

Gould is a follower, and her thinking is away with the fairies at the bottom of the garden.

Justin’s lap dog is now Justin’s attack dog. This was not her decision, its been coordinated out of the PMO. Let’s see how this unfolds, Butt’s and Telford are advising Carney. They need someone to take out and be aggressive with Freeland – I therefore present you with our new liberal attack dog.
Watch Gould as this unfolds, she will be soft on Carney, but will rip Freeland.

I suspect the folks backing Karina are backing one of the only two serious contenders due to the ranked ballot system. As she is so tied to Trudeau I will guess the Carney camp. Follow the money.
Pay attention people: There are three or four people who are going to put their $100,000 on the table (that’s all they have to put up on January 23rd. Those people will be the first ones to fall off the ranked ballot – which will let Freeland, Carney and Gould see where there support.
Editors note: I believe the amount they have to put up is $150,000 when they register and two additional payments of $100,000 during February
So, a secret public launch event, figures. Is this news or gossip ?

Smart political move getting free publicity with no very little downside though $350K is nothing to overlook.
She is extremely well spoken and likeable. Karina can and will easily distance herself from Trudeau while showing her independence.
No loss of her MP status if she withdrawals or losses. It has the potential to galvanize her re-election bid as Halton’s MP especially as there will be probably no Conservatives allowed to debate in any riding.
Poilievre will become Canada’s next PM (Majority, though if Carney wins the leadership, it will be closer than many would like….even with Carney’s average French). Given this, Halton riding may become more of a popularity contest for voters. If this is the scenario, Karina is extremely popular with her constituents, proven pro-Burlington representative, outstanding debater and communicator.
It will be interesting.

This is like paying $350K to be a third stringer on a losing team. She has no chance of winning. The Liberals have no chance of winning. It’s time for a change. Accept it.

If you have ever watched her doing a press conference, she is the master of double speak and says nothing including not answering the question, but constantly says “Just that she is the house leader and works with everyone”. Maybe I am blind, but I never saw this. It is time for a cleaning out the Liberal mess and she is a big part of it. This once great country has been ruined by nine years of these people. Time to get back on track. Good riddance

Not standing a chance of winning the leadership, this is clearly a pre-Federal Election campaign to try to bolster her chances of retaining Burlington in the actual election. Entry cost of $350,000 plus all the travel costs etc. Wow. Where does all this money come from?

But how do I really feel-embarrassed that people are backing her to the tune of $350,000.00 and think that she would be the best person to lead the Liberal party and potentially be Prime Minister.
Karina has “Justin Trudeau “ written all over her and she certainly drank his kool-aid for the last 9 years.
I guess if you let non-citizens of Canada who can be as young as 14 vote in the race for the leader of the Liberal party one would think that Karina is the right person for the job.
No wonder Canada has lost all credibility on the world stage.
