BURLINGTON, ON

The Museums people had a good idea last year when they opened up the rooftop to public events.

Great setting, limited number of people and usually decent bits of food to nibble on and a cash bar.

They have expanded the offerings this year. Book early – it fills up quite quickly.

Enjoy a summer evening listening to local talent with a great view of Burlington’s Downtown Waterfront.  Try it out – you will enjoy the Rooftop Terrace at Joseph Brant Museum on July 10 & 24 and August 7 & 21 for our “Music from the Rooftop” series. Each evening will feature a performance by a local musician, beginning at 7:30pm. Doors will open at 6:30pm for guests to browse the museum’s galleries prior to the performance.

When the Museum site underwent a major change, the building was raised and became part of the rooftop with the Museum spaces at the grade level. The house, it’s a copy of what Joseph Brant built originally, is used for administrative work. It isn’t open to the public. One of the biggest mistakes the city ever made.

Tickets are $20/adults, $18/seniors and students. Ticket includes 1-hour live musical performance and admission to the museum’s galleries. Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase in the museum’s gift shop. This is a 12+ event. In the case of inclement weather, performances will take place inside Joseph Brant Museum’s Lakefront/Shoreline rooms.
