BURLINGTON, ON
Esther Gibbs, Policy and Community Support Specialist for Mayor Meed Ward slipped on the Community support side when she posted a less than sterling recommendation for the service provided by Keora Aveda Hair Salon on Lakeshore Road.
Gibbs gave two stars – complaining that her hair was cut too short and the blond highlighting she expected wasn’t satisfactory.
Ouch.
Mayor is reported to use the same hair salon.
Has anyone who has commented met Esther Gibbs? I have. Esther Gibbs has been very pleasant, accommodating and professional with an issue that I am involved in.
How many of us have had a bad service experience and in the heat of the moment done something we wish we hadn’t?
Don’t know why this would even be considered newsworthy.
A discrete complaint to the owner would have been my choice.
What pray tell is a Community Support Specialist.
Isn’t that too bad! Now she knows first hand how Burlington Tax Payers feel about how our Mayor and City Council have performed in their jobs since 2018!!
Our City Council has been far more destructive and costly!
At least her hair will grow back.
I wonder how many STARS our Burlington Residents would give our Mayor and Council if given the chance to do so?
What on earth is wrong with any member of public, whether our MP, MPP counselor, staff of the city, giving a poor review to an establishment for services received.
Nothing is wrong with that but when you have a position such as Esther has, one has to carefully consider your actions are not able to be misconstrued as using your title to do more damage than a normal poor review, would do. Rarely do we give poor reviews we wuuld rather go and attempt to sort out the problem so we are satiksfied with the service.
