Wow!

This is breaking news.

Late yesterday Jane McKenna made the following announcement:

Jane McKenna the day she won her first election.

“Today I am announcing that I have informed Premier @fordnation that I will not be seeking re-election in June.

I will continue to get things done for the people of #BurlON and #Halton by running for Regional Chair of Halton in the upcoming municipal election.

How does that saying go? Hey McKenna don’t let the door hit you in the back on the way out. As others have urged, McKenna, just quit, retire.

I fear if she is elected Chair that she will just push the provincial Growth Plan at the Regional level. We are in trouble if that happens.

    Glad to see her go…
She should not be re-elected in any capacity

She has done nothing for Burlington as MPP. She has gone into hiding since the pandemic. Jane do us all a favour retire!!

Well she hasn’t done much for Burlington as an MPP, so hopefully she will not be elected and retire to private life.

I’m a Conservative and I would not have voted for her. Her record has been “very pedestrian” and I think she stood a good chance of losing in June. I am hoping that the PC’s find a strong candidate to replace her.
