BURLINGTON, ON
The unit is listed at $4,999,900; 2,940 sq. ft of space.
Property Taxes – $27,948.58 a year, Maintenance Fees – $46,800.00 a year. That comes to a little over $6,000 a month: the unit includes 4 parking spots.
And where is this property?
Burlington – the best mid-sized city in the country!
Sorry, but the pool is located in the Hotel. I asked the condo concierge at the Bridgewater. Is there an underground access under the courtyard? The Hotel pool is visible and had probably 20 people, all ages in it the other day. Not private enough for 5 million dollars. Excessively long wait to get into underground parking to then enter into the condo underground parking. Not very relaxing for SPA patrons.
So much for privacy and solitude for its full time residents.
Good points, Millicent. I remember a fellow who served on a committee I was on who referred to the vertical commute all residents of high rises had to put up with daily (the elevator rides). Add the commute to/from underground parking to Lakeshore Road and it must be seen as some sort of exclusive perquisite of the wealthy. At least that is what they tell themselves I imagine.
Thanks, but I’ll take a detached home on terra firma on a street with very little traffic instead and save 4 million dollars plus the taxes and maintenance fees. The lifestyles of the rich and famous hold little interest to me.
5 million dollars for a condo that has to share a swimming pool with the revolving Pearl hotel and spa guests. Who wants to live in a construction zone for possibly a decade? As a single women having to drive through the underground parking for the Pearl hotel to access this condo is poor planning. Atleast the waterfront hotel has had their wings clipped with regard to their monstrous proposal. Enjoy the lake views folks as it is quickly disappearing. Our whole city council needs to be told we are not having their “developers with benefits “arrangement. MMW facilitated a meeting between two developers and is directly responsible for this condo on the lake. So much for her promises about controlling development downtown. Promises made but never kept. Next election can’t come soon enough.
Editor’s note: The pool is within the condo – it is not a public pool.
