Things did not go that well for Rory Nisan, who showed up at the Oakville Film Festival wearing his suit with a tie, expecting to get a moment at the podium.
MP Effie Triantafilopoulos and MPP Natalie Pierre go their couple of minutes.
Ward 3 Councillor Rory Nisan. Wants to be Mayor.
Mayor Meed Ward attended virtually and said her thing.
All Rory got was a mention and a chance to stand up and wave from his seat.
He didn’t stay for much of the OFFA presentation.
Nisan is in full get elected mode these days.

The mayor said her thing?
Isn’t it your job to write what the mayor said?
As I have asked previously why is Rory Nisan running for Mayor? Does he think that putting on a suit and tie makes him mayoral?
The residents I have been speaking to are asking the same question. As a Councillor for Ward 3 he kept a very low profile for the last 8 years, and accomplished little (this information came from people living in his ward which is not the ward I live in).
At the very best he will come in a distant 3rd. All that he will accomplish is splitting the vote which will make it easier for the incumbent to win.
If Rory Nisan wanted to do what is best for the residents of Burlington he needs to step away.
