About the Nomination Contest:
- Only Ontario Liberal Party members registered before the nomination cut-off date, which is to be determined, will be eligible to vote in the nomination.
Many thought that Andrea Grenbenc would seek the nomination. There is no word at this point on what her plans are.
Natalie Pierre, the current MPP has not made much of an impression on the voters. She was very big on photo-ops.
The Progressive Conservatives will put up quite a fight to keep the seat.
Rather biased with the Conservative candidate Maybe keep your personal opinions to yourself and let voters decide
Realistically, if the Liberals ever expect to take this riding, they are going to have to get themselves a candidate with some solid business experience like a Charles Sousa (He is the MP for Lakeshore Mississauga) . Disgruntled PC supporters are the “target market”, and the ones that will be the determining factor.
Too many Burlington Liberal candidates (e.g. Torsney, Gould, Mariam Manaa, Eleanor McMahon) are all ex-political staffers. We need to see some folks step up with some solid business work experience who have “cut their teeth” in the real world, and have the gravitas to prove it.
I Wish. Toward the end of Harper’s leadership, I had realigned my business ties to launch into a new direction of investment, but with eyebrows raised I saw the election of the Trudeau Liberals, usually, a change of government doesn’t affect business investment as monetary policies rarely change significantly enough to discourage business, so along with others I waited for the dust to settle, obviously the people of Canada had spoken and obviously they liked the direction Trudeau promised them; well the dust never settled because he kept kicking up more dust, I don’t like the word retired, I just lost interest.
Pretty exciting to see a younger, energetic person run! I know his family they’ve lived in ward 2 for a long time.
