BURLINGTON, ON
With his campaign team in place Oliver Parker is working towards his target of knocking on every door in the Burlington constituency. He has covered more than 200 when we talked to him last.
More about Oliver, who is a full-time federal civil servant working out of his home in Burlington and reporting to a team that is located in Hamilton – he reports to that team three times a week.
The federal Department he works for is located Gatineau, across from Ottawa.
He is a part-time student at Queen’s University in Belfast.
He is what might be described as a Labour Economist who deals with policy matters.
Oliver reports that he has been fully vetted by the provincial Liberal Party, which means he has paid the $3000 fee to enter the race for the Burlington nomination.
At this point, there are two candidates seeking the nomination.
The current MPP for Burlington, Natalie Pierre, has announced that she will not seek re-election. The Progressive Conservatives then are looking for a candidate.
The public wants to know what a potential candidate stands for – what are their core values?
Oliver Parker is holding an event at the Black Bull on November 4th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm – if you want to meet him, hear what he has to say and ask questions – the Black Bull is at 2475 Mountainside Dr.
