Pride Parade, FIFA Games - Is There Anything Else Toronto Can Handle? Metrolinx Wants You To Use Public Transit

Toronto is preparing to host one of the world’s largest Pride events this weekend.

Metrolinx wants to remind customers to plan and consider taking transit to this weekend’s festivities.

This year’s special Pride themed double decker GO EV Bus wrapped in a ‘Driven by Pride’ themed decal can be spotted on June 28th alongside our dedicated Metrolinx employees participating in the Toronto Pride Parade.

This year, Metrolinx staff will once again be participating in Toronto’s Pride Parade on Sunday, June 28, alongside over 25,000 marchers and more than 250 groups. It will be Metrolinx’s 14th consecutive year at Canada’s largest Pride festival and the second largest Pride in the world!

Enhanced GO Transit and UP Express service from June 10 to July 5, 2026:

As of June 10, 2026, GO train service on Lakeshore West and Lakeshore East were increased to provide frequent 15-minute service throughout most of the day. Across the network, this means there are nearly 3,000 weekly GO trips available.

Late‑night service will also be available on GO Transit and UP Express throughout the week, making it easier for customers to get home safely after evening events.

• Lakeshore West trains departing Union Station as late as 12:47 a.m.
  • Last eastbound departure from Exhibition GO 12:36 a.m.
  • Last westbound departure from Exhibition GO 12:55 a.m.
• Lakeshore East trains departing Union Station as late as 12:50 a.m.
• UP Express trains departing Union Station as late as 1:45 a.m.

Regular service resumes Monday, July 6. It’s important to visit gotransit.com and check schedules for the most up to date departure times. Customers are also encouraged to sign up for On the GO Alerts to receive real time updates about trip schedules, delays or disruptions.

Customers can take advantage of our $10 weekend day online passes that allow you to GO wherever you want. Riders can also transfer for free with One Fare between GO Transit and TTC.

 Kids 12 and under ride free on all GO Trains and Buses.

Seniors 65 and up save 55% when using their PRESTO card.

Weekday Group Passes offer the same benefits for two to five people on Mondays through Fridays at an affordable flat rate.
