There is nothing new about email landing in your inbox offering you the deal of a lifetime.

Cheating people out of their money is a billion dollar industry.

The only defence you have is being very careful – if in doubt, don’t.

The scammers have taken to using well-known brand names and hiding behind them to draw you in.

Today it is Walmart.

The moment you see something that doesn’t look honest, check the email address it came from.  The most recent one that came our way today was:  noreply@acomp.ch

Does that look like a Walmart address to you?

Then look at what they are offering.

If you start that survey, you will have begun the process of giving the scammer information about you that they will use to take advantage of you.

Save yourself the grief and the disappointment.  Take a pass
