August 6th, 2024

BURLINGTON, ON

Note the event and the date.

This is something you will want to pay attention to.  The King Road site will have a massive impact on the growth and development of the city. A decade from now will probably see a shift westward in the economic center of Burlington.

The event is being put on by the Burlington Chamber of Commerce. Registration has to be done at their web site: https://www.burlingtonchamber.com/

Hopefully this cranky senior can get my ridged body up for this early morning meeting. Should I bring a shovel?

Interesting change of strategy. I guess since the June 17th “pre-consultation” on the Appleby-Fairview re-development plans was such a public relations fiasco Paletta’s new strategy is to recruit pro-development toadies from the CoC, and deploy them as foot soldiers in the redevelopment wars. Also, schedule the consultation really early in the morning so that all those rowdy seniors, working people and social activists don’t attend and ask all sorts of nasty, probing, uncomfortable questions that get answered with obtuse, vague answers.
