I love the spin. First the “freeze on development fees” and now “saving green space”. Definitely an election year. I urge residents not to drink the Kool-Aid.
It is time for the residents to stand up and say NO. However, first they need to know that this is happening.
This needs to be posted on Facebook, Instagram and X.
Residents need to attend the Monday, March 2nd meeting at City Hall at 9:30am.
This is what happens when a mayor with a designation of strong mayor powers uses it to her advantage. Not a thought for the residents of Burlington.
ECoB managed with the residents to make a clean sweep in 2018( except for Paul Sharman) and a new council and mayor was elected. We can do this again.
This time around we have to make certain that the people running for election or re-election are the right people.
Voting should not be by name recognition. Burlington desperately needs new people on Council.
Residents need to send an email to the mayor at mayor@burlington.ca and their ward councillor.
I urge you not to think about it just do it.

Will anyone on Council file a complaint about Marianne and Angelo releasing details of the negotiation with ARGO?
