BURLINGTON, ON
We learned yesterday that there were significant changes to the way staff are being organized. The title of Executive Director will no longer be used. That has been replaced by Commissioners – there are four of them. We have yet to learn the names of these Commissioners.
We reported earlier that there would be nine Commissioners, that was the information we were given.
When we received the org chart set out below – the number of Commissioners is just four with five other units headed up by a Chief. We don’t yet know who the person is behind the title.
First news from City hall – wasn’t totally correct

WOW! what are the new salary ranges? I heard somewhere between 200 and 250 for the commissioner. 30 days into a job and new titles and sticky notes with names on it. Curtesy of the CEO. Cannot wait to see the bingo card filled in.
I have seen this stunt so many times in my decades in large businesses getting the New Boss. The playbook is in most Executive Development programs at business schools like Western.
New guy has to quickly do something to show the board that he/she are taking action!!!!What bettter and easier than giving out new titles\department names and nicer seats for your direct reports.
All show and very little change to productivity nor efficiency’s.
