On June 24, 2025, the Ontario Government shared the design for the new Public Realm and Parking Structure at Ontario Place.
Once completed, the redeveloped Ontario Place will include approximately 50 acres of public park space for everyone to enjoy. The government anticipates there will be between four and six million visitors a year.

The original facility was built from scratch in 2 years. This one is long overdue but will probably take 5 years.I was there for the opening in 71 and used it for many business reasons for years but it started to deteriorate by 2001.
This completely unjustified Ontario Place makeover is atrocious, especally being bulldozed through without any consultation with the support of hapless PC backbenchers who refuse to speak out about any aspect of bombastic Ford’s one-man show.
