Appointments are no longer needed as few are stepping up. Hospitals are resuming elective surgery and Provinces have already started dropping mandates. As we have been frequently reminded for the last two years health care is provincial jurisdiction.

On the Federal website today only 8.64 % of children 5 to 11 have received two doses and 45.9% of adults over 18 have received their booster which depending on which narrative you believe is required to be vaccinated. Quebec I believe is currently the only province to move on three doses. I don’t think the feds have enough cash left to coerce the other provinces into moving on this. America certainly won’t…..and frankly we just copy and paste in lock step. Where are the antivirals and test kits. In America of course. Is Trump still running that country I ask?

If you agree with that booster narrative that is being pushed roughly 40% of Canadians are vaccinated. That’s a pretty big “fringe”.

Oh and apparently no significant Pfizer shipments are being received (as I previously noted) hence if you are over 29 you can’t choose your vaccine despite Moderna showing in the test groups showing an increase in heart complications compared to Pfizer. Of course another limited (scientific?) study is held up to say the combination actually offers better protection.

This senior is boosted however I will not line up for a 4th shot of either the original serum or an Omicron serum if it comes out. I have read, ( not claiming science here!) that the efficacy lasts only about 30 days for older folk after being administered. The European regulator has actually warned two weeks ago against frequent boosters for seniors.
