BURLINGTON, ON
The Burlington Footnotes held their final Gotta SING, Gotta DANCE! performance in the Spring. The group had concluded that times were changing and if they were to continue as a robust, active organization they have been or several decades, they too would have to change.
The Footnotes received a Burlington Arts and Culture Grant for their upcoming project “So You Think You Can’t Dance?” We are in the process of having people register for several upcoming workshops said Susan Pritchard.
“We are reaching out to people who feel that dance is not for them because of real or perceived barriers. These can include mobility issues, chronic illnesses, and financial concerns.
There is a Jazz Workshop on Wednesday, Sept 16 at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre and a Chair Tap Workshop (2 classes for 2 levels) on Sunday, Sept 27 at Brant Hills Community Centre.
These are free to the public; registration is required and space is limited.
