Does anyone know where the draft summary budget is?
When I asked COBY “Where is the 2025 draft summary budget”?
I got this response

This is becoming a bit of a joke – except that the budget the Mayor puts forward is not going to be a joke.
this mayor and council represent “weak governance” and it’s dangerous in so many ways. The status and process of basic functions are minimized, hidden, postponed by these “pretenders” and their weakness affects the fundamental operation of the city.
There are and will continue to be issues with:
Infrastructure Maintenance and Development
Public Health Services
Education and Public Schools
Environmental Protection and Green Spaces
Public Safety and Emergency Services
Public Transportation
Social Services
Economic Development
because …….
This “group” continues to focus on all the wrong things such as:
Excessive Investment in Vanity Projects
Political or Image-driven Initiatives
Short-term Political Wins Over Long-term Planning
Policing Minor Issues Instead of Major Concerns
Private Interests Over Public Good
Unnecessary Bureaucracy and Red Tape
Ignoring Community Input
Don’t hold your breath waiting for a “draft budget”
The idea the Mayor My Way is qualified to present a budget for a Corporation the size of the City of Burlington is a joke. She has no professional qualifications for the job.
