THERE IS A PERSON ON OUR STAFF THAT WILL NOT BE GETTING A BONUS.
THE FIGURES ORIGINALLY POSTED WERE FOR 2013 – THE FIGURES BELOW ARE FOR 2014. WHEN WE GOOF, WE REALLY GOOF DON’T WE?
The first figure is the salary component, the second is funds paid for something other than salary that was defined as a taxable benefit.
The people shown in red are part of the Fire Department.
Council members don’t appear on the list because a large part of their income comes from the Region and that is a different list.
For some reason, none of the people at the Economic Development Corporation don`t appear on the list nor is the Librarian. No one from the Performing Arts Centre or the Burlington Art Gallery.
What is clear from this list is that public sector jobs pay very well.
The 2014 list is just a little shorter than the 2013 list.

I think you will find you have included many of them, including Goldring, Patrick, Mayor.

No wonder there is a waiting list to get into the fire dept. Here is an idea for the 2016 Municipal budget…..instead of coming to the public every year for an increase in taxes how about cutting some of the bureaucracy in the Fire Dept. and while you are at it, I’m sure every other department could use the same house cleaning.
Quite a lucrative publically funded career…….
In terms of Firefighters and Police there is a come to Jesus point that we have reached. They are overpaid to begin with .If you add their pension plan it becomes ridiculous. Look at your tax bill and see how much you are paying for these services . I know their are people that will argue that they lay their life on the line but give me a break . Fight fighters particularly have ridiculous working hours and have second jobs because they are bored. Wake up taxpayers ! Demand your politicians to fix the situation!!! Just my thoughts And please don’t come back with a comment about some other situation that is more stupid in terms of pay to justify your position in terms of Firefighters and police.
