JT again not making the appropriate Federal decisions!!!
Handguns used in a crime…….prison term starts at 10yr + crime committed.
Intentional shooting using a Handgun………10yrs + first degree homicide if you killed the person or attempted murder if the person lived. If more than one person shot then each is a felony unto itself.
Transporting illegal handguns into Canada………..10yrs per handgun as each handgun has the potential to kill.
All the above should be consecutive sentencing.
cheers

I totally agree. This allowing cities to ban handguns is what the Liberals do best–virtue-signaling that sounds good but accomplishes nothing. However, the Liberals are talking to their base; to paraphrase HL Mencken, “No Liberal ever lost an election by underestimating the intelligence of a Liberal voter”.
Wow–the cities will ban handguns. Will that ever be effective!!!! I can just see the gangs and criminals lining up to turn in their handguns and they’ll quit importing them too!!! More Liberal pixie dust.
No initiative to tighten bail restrictions for criminals using guns in the execution of a crime. No tougher criminal penalties for illegal possession of handguns (although to the Liberals credit, they did get tough on legal gun owners????), no tougher penalties for the use of a gun in the execution of a crime. More of the same “soft-on-crime” agenda that the Liberals seem to relish.
Burlington has a gun/ shooting club which is the only legal place to use handguns. Wonder if such a ban would close the club? Handguns are already “banned” except in shooting clubs, and of course with criminals.
