BURLINGTON, ON.
An observant citizen wrote to say: “For the second time in the past few weeks Burlington Fire is attending to a problem in the electrical/control (?) room under the pier. They’ve been there for over an hour so far tonight.
Sure hope it’s under warranty!
From the people that worked on version one of the pier: “I believe it’s a tail light policy. You have warranty until you can’t see Grahams tail lights.”
Graham was the company that completed the pier.
Are we looking at a lemon here?
Just another example of when committees are spending other people’s money, it’s rarely ideal.
The city still has to pay the province for approximately 80% of the water lot area which the pier occupies. The province typically seeks payment for the transfer of real property rights to reflect market value. The pier story is not quite at an end, unlike what people have been led to believe.
“Are we looking at a lemon here?”
Wouldn’t surprise me
